What to do first
Three steps, in order
- Make sure everyone is safe. If anyone is injured or there is immediate danger, call 911 before anything else.
- Report it to your carrier. Find your insurance company in the list below and call their claims line directly — most are staffed 24 hours.

Have your policy number ready if you can find it. If you cannot, call us — we can look it up for you.
