General liability
Third-party injury and property damage claims arising from your operations or premises.
A shop, a contractor and a software firm face entirely different risks. We place commercial cover across multiple carriers rather than fitting you to one company's template.
Commercial insurance is not a single product. It is a programme assembled from several policies, and the useful work lies in understanding which exposures your business genuinely carries before deciding what to insure. A business owner's policy covers a great deal for many small firms; for others it leaves the largest risk entirely untouched.
For most small and mid-sized businesses the foundation is a business owner's policy, which bundles commercial property and general liability into one contract, usually at less than the cost of buying them separately. It covers the premises, the contents, and claims brought by third parties.
What a BOP does not include is often more important than what it does. Employees, vehicles, professional advice and data breaches all sit outside it, and each needs its own policy. A programme that stops at the BOP is a common and expensive assumption.
Business interruption is the first. Property cover pays to repair the building; it does not replace the income lost while you cannot trade. For a business with a lease, payroll and fixed costs, that lost income is frequently the larger number.
The second is contractual. Leases, client contracts and subcontractor agreements routinely specify insurance limits and additional insured status. Being unable to produce the right certificate can cost work. Send us the contract and we will tell you whether your current programme satisfies it.

Buildings, contents, stock and equipment, including improvements made to a leased space.
Replaces lost income and covers continuing costs while you cannot trade after a covered loss.
Vehicles owned by the business, plus hired and non-owned cover for staff driving their own cars.
Employee injury cover. Optional in Texas, but declining it carries consequences worth understanding.
Breach response, notification, and liability if customer or employee data is exposed.
We are an independent agency, so we place your business insurance across several carriers rather than fitting you to one company's product. That means a genuine comparison, and someone to call who is not a call centre.
A BOP bundles commercial property and general liability into a single policy, usually more cheaply than buying them separately. It suits many small and mid-sized businesses as a foundation, with vehicles, employees, professional liability and cyber added around it.
There is no general state requirement, but specific obligations are common: commercial auto for business vehicles, workers compensation for public contracts, and whatever your lease or client contracts specify. In practice most businesses are required to carry cover by someone.
A $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate limit is a common baseline, largely because that is what most contracts and leases ask for. The right answer is whatever satisfies your obligations and your actual exposure.
Yes, and it is one of the most frequent requests we handle. Send us the contract wording — additional insured requirements vary and the certificate needs to match what was agreed.
Usually the same day. You can request one through our online form, or call (817) 540-2947 if a job is waiting on it.
Commercial general liability covers claims brought against your business by other people. It is also the policy almost every client contract and commercial lease requires you to hold.
